Leanne Clegg
Associate Counsellor
I offer a warm, compassionate and person-centred approach to counselling, grounded in the belief that you are the expert in your own life. I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at your own pace. I work relationally, which means I place real value on building a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and accepted.
My core training is in person-centred counselling, and alongside this I draw on a range of approaches and tools to respond to your individual needs. I believe therapy is not about being told what to do, but about having the space to better understand yourself, make sense of your experiences, and move towards change in a way that feels right for you. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected or unsure of where to begin, I will work alongside you with honesty, empathy and care.
I have experience supporting adults with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult relationships, domestic abuse, sexual violence, neurodivergence, and the emotional impact of chronic health conditions. I understand that each person’s story is unique, and I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. Instead, I aim to meet you where you are, with sensitivity to your individual circumstances, identity and lived experience.
At the heart of my work is a belief in the healing potential of being truly listened to and accepted as you are. Therapy can offer a space to deepen self-understanding, process painful experiences, and reconnect with your strengths and inner resources. My hope is that through our work together, you feel more able to understand yourself with compassion and move forward with greater clarity, confidence and self-trust.
My fee is £55 for individuals. I offer a free 15 minute consultation.
